60. Not out.

Today was as usual, an exciting workshop with lots of advice and comments regarding our stories. I was really glad to be able to read mine aloud so that the group could comment on it. I have now arrived at two endings, both of which I like, but the idea is that I can post it on my blog and let the reader decide. A liitle collaborative partcipation can always be useful. That way my story could work for a lot longer especially if people begin to write their own endings, which would be even better.
Must ask Elaine how this is done, or even Jensen who was missed today. Hope we see you next week!

Its so useful to play around with these ideas in our group because we are all so supportive of each other and led by two extremly compentant people who dont find a problem with anything " everything appears do-able" even down to Doreen creating a new word today ominosity!! really likeing that one

  1. I love the idea of there being two alternative endings for your story, and your invitation for other people to contribute.

A while ago I did this blog

www.elevenpenceperbookperday.blogspot.com which was a blogged story I wrote with a friend of mine. We set it in a library and we each wrote chapters and invited people to join in and submit chapters. It was done on a simple blogger blog like this one.

Maybe the layout will give you some ideas?

  3. Doreen - the best things come to those who wait!!

Maybe if you are feeling inspired you could write another alternative ending to Barbara's story. The website won't be like a magazine where we have to watch out for the amount of paper and pages we use so there's so limit on the amount of words or endings we can link to there.

    What do you think Barbara?

  4. i am really excited about the endings i suppose it would depend alot on the type of mood you were in when writing , i know when i am in an awful mood i went the piece i am reading to be a bit gruesome although sometimes when things turn out hunky dory it does make you feel light is in the world , , i think i am looking at things to deeply , i went to a philosophy thing once enough said see you thursday

  5. Lou - I think that's a really good idea. If there were two or three or more alternative endings then the finished site could have little icons

are you in the mood for a happy ending - click here!

are you in the mood for a gruesome ending - click here!

That way everyone who reads it would get an ending to suit their mood that day, and they could come back again and again to read the other endings, or maybe write endings of their own.

I will have to mention this to Elaine. She will know how to make it happen.

  6. I don't know how at the moment, but we can definitely have a feature on the website so that people can choose which ending they want to read - like a 'choose your own adventure' story! I reckon Keith or Jensen will be able to help me with that.
