I have such a job trying to read!! its so unfair. I envy all those out there who can pick up a book and enjoy.Oh to be able to say I am an avid reader...it would be nice to able to type without constantly re-reading everyword and amending it also.
I thought bloggig would make my virtual life asier but in fact it hasn't. Looks as though I will be looking at the scribed site and downloading my written text.Where there's a will!!
So many coping mecahnisms in place for my dyslexia but sometimes you just wnat to read and write unhampered. Sounds like l am feeling sorry for myself tonight maybe l am, ts just that l have read all your blogs and they are so interesting i feel as though i have moved away from my original story now and dont quite know how to pull it back.
Guess it will all come together soon one way or another. Scared about this stuff going live and not knowing who will read it..This is just the beginning.

ReplyDeleteyou come across as such a competent and capable person who doesn`t suffer fools gladly . I was under the impression that you had your own way of doing things and that was that. I had no idea about the dyslexia and the difficulties that could create for you.
As you know, I`m no great shakes as far as mastering the computer is concerned, but if I can be of any help with your story , let me know.
I wish I had your phone number `cos I`d ring to have a chat. I`ve always got loads of ideas but am a bit wary of treading on toes( I can be a bit overpowering at times I know)

You`re allowed to feel sorry for yourself sometimes but don`t get discouraged.
If you could post something a bit more specific about what you see as sticking points or what you`re having a problem with it might help.I like your story very much and when I eventually finish mine I`ll have a go at an alternative ending for yours if that`s ok with you?

Good advice! I wouldn't worry Barbara - you're pretty much sorted. Perhaps we can have a chat some time next week and sort out exactly how it's going to work. I think it will be straight forward though. You have a great story and the alternative endings will make it really unique. We can have a look at scribed as well if you want. But I think your story's fine as it is (I can always do some typing as well).

ReplyDeleteI thought that you already had an ending. In fact I thought that you had 2! You don't need anyone else to write one for you. I think that it was just something that Jenn thought might be interesting, but to be honest I think everyone's busy just trying to get to grips with their own blogs. I was thinking though - perhaps on the finished website, we could invite readers to submit their own endings. What do you think?
I went to the Queens today. It's a perfect venue for the launch - great suggestion. I'm just waiting to hear back from Phil to confirm dates, times, prices and then we can start getting the publicity out!

hi BARB hay dont worry about your blog i think it is great but felt upset when reading how you have been feeling !!!! you always gave lots of confidence to the group and hey we cant all be avid readers but everyone has somthing you are very good at the technical stuff i am hopeless at that kind of thing we all tend to have something we struggle with
