There's a writer called Sarah Salway who writes short stories (under 100 words) in response to mysterious looking photographs. She calls them 'snaps'.
I've been thinking of using some of my photographs as prompts for stories - in the same way as we used lines from our conversations about place as prompts for the stories we've been working on during this project.
